Osmania University Re Scheduled Degree  & MCA TimeTables: 

HYDERABAD: With one more adding to the series of unfortunate events, which the City of Hyderabad has been witnessing for the past three months, once again the examinations of Osmania University and affiliated colleges have been postponed to April 7.

OU officials informed that the decision has been taken after an emergency meeting held under the aegis of OU Vice- Chancellor T Tirupati Rao and Controller of Examination here today.

As per the earlier schedule, the undergraduate (degree) and MCA exams of the university and affiliated colleges are to be held from Wednesday (March 31) onwards.

``We have postponed the exams as there is lot of disturbance in some parts of the City. In this scenario, we cannot neglect the interests of thousands of students who stay in those areas,’’ Osmania University spokesperson BS Rao said and added that the schedule of the exams from April 7 onwards would be made available on the university website shortly at www.osmania.ac.in.

OU officials have also informed that all the three year degree examinations and MCA exams (first semester of first year and second year) have also been postponed.

Earlier, on several occasions the university had to postpone the examinations due to Telangana agitation.

Hyderabad: Applications are invited for Education Common Entrance Test Ed.Cet 2010 for selection of candidates for admission in to B.Ed regular course in Colleges of Education in Andhra Pradesh for the academic year 2010-11.
Ed.CET 2010 Eligibility: Graduates in various disciplines are eligible to write Ed.CET 2010 test. But, this time, there is slight change in percentage of marks in qualifying exam to get eligibility. Candidates should have secured 50% mark in either in Bachelors degree like B.A., B.Sc., B.Com (Home Sciences), BCA, BBM or any other Masters Degree equaling to qualification. However, for reserved category candidates, it is 40% marks in qualifying exam.

Hyderabad, March 5 (IANS) Carver Aviation, a part of European Aviation, Friday announced it would buy 10 more Comprehensive Trauma Life Support (CTLS) light-sport aircrafts for its pilot training schools in India.

Marc Carvalho, chief executive officer, Carver Aviation, told reporters during India Aviation 2010 event here that they had already purchased two twin-seater CTLS, one of which was displayed at the show.

'In the next one year, we will buy 10 more such aircraft built in Ukraine for our academies in India,' he said. Each aircraft costs 100,000 euros.

The firm will also invest Rs.90lacs crore in the flying academy at Dimapur in Nagaland, which is expected to be operational this April.

This will be the third flying academy of Carver in India. It already has pilot training and aircraft maintenance engineering school at Baramati in Maharashtra and has recently started a new flying school at Karad, also in Maharashtra.

The firm plans 40,000 flying hours with Petrol every year at all the three academies. Each flying hour costs Rs.3,600.
